Congratulations and awards to students
During the ceremonies at both institutions, students with outstanding academic and sporting achievements received special prizes funded by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Copernicus Academy.
The pupils with the highest grade point average at the school were also awarded prizes by the Mayor of Gzy Municipality, Cezary Wojciechowski, and the Chairwoman of the Gzy Municipality Council, Joanna Świderska.
– We have had a good school year, we have not had a lockdown, schools have been able to function normally,” stressed the Deputy Minister of Education during a ceremony at the Polish-Hungarian Friendship Primary School in Przewodów Poduchowy.
As the Secretary of State further explained, the year 2023 is also special because of its patron – Nicolaus Copernicus. – We started it on 19 February, the round 550th anniversary of the birth of the greatest Polish scientist – Nicolaus Copernicus, and it is also not without reason that I am accompanied by the Secretary General of the Copernican Academy, a new institution that is to internationalise Polish science, raise the prestige of Polish science and the performance of Polish schools,” added Rzymkowski.
