On 12 September, the Secretary General of the Copernicus Academy, Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Górski, and the Secretary General and Director of the Copernicus Academy Office, Dr. Witold Mazurek, signed a cooperation agreement with the International Police Association.
The signing ceremony took place at the Copernicus Academy in Warsaw. On the part of the International Police Association, the document was signed by the President of the National Board of the IPA Poland Section – Piotr Wójcik.
The IPA is a worldwide association with almost 400,000 members, affiliated in 65 countries. It is an independent association, uniting all police services, without distinction of rank, education, gender, race, colour, speech or religion. It is politically, economically, unionist and religiously neutral. Membership of the IPA obliges members to abide by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations in 1948, and the Declaration on Policing, adopted as Resolution 690 of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
The Polish Section of the IPA has been active for 30 years.
