On June 26, 2025, representatives of the Nicolaus Copernicus Academy – Paweł Derecki and Anna Ostrowska – presented awards to six schools whose students became laureates of the nationwide competition “Nicolaus Copernicus – Father of the Modern Economy”, organized by the Nicolaus Copernicus Academy.
Thanks to the commitment and achievements of their students, each of the schools received modern multimedia equipment – a projector and a screen on a stand, while the three highest-rated institutions also received a projection board. This equipment will enrich the didactic facilities and serve the entire school community.
The competition laureates, along with their supervisors, were honored with Nicolaus Copernicus Academy gift sets as a token of appreciation for their knowledge, creativity, and commitment.
The directors of the distinguished schools received reprints of two works by Nicolaus Copernicus:
- the first edition of “De revolutionibus orbium coelestium,” the scholar’s most important work,
- and the “Treatise on Money” (Monetae cudendae ratio), testifying to his contribution to the development of economic thought.
During the meetings between the representatives of the Nicolaus Copernicus Academy and the authorities and supervisors of the winning teams, mutual interest was expressed in establishing further cooperation aimed at developing students’ scientific passions and deepening their knowledge of the heritage of Nicolaus Copernicus. We sincerely congratulate all the award winners and wish them further success!
