It has been one year since the Nicolaus Copernicus Academy began publishing its regular Newsletter, providing a comprehensive overview of the Academy’s activities, projects, and initiatives.
In this fifth issue, we especially recommend:
- An interview with Prof. Krzysztof Marian Górski, Acting Secretary General of the Nicolaus Copernicus Academy, titled “New Paths in Popularization: The Mission of the Nicolaus Copernicus Academy”
- An article commemorating the 60th anniversary of the discovery of the cosmic microwave background radiation, including reflections on the COBE mission, presented by Prof. Górski at a conference in Turin
- A report on the second anniversary of the Nicolaus Copernicus Academy and the 552nd birthday of our patron, Nicolaus Copernicus, celebrated through radio broadcasts based on the exhibition dedicated to the astronomer
- A presentation of the new project “Stopover in Lidzbark”, featuring a series of popular-science lectures held in locations connected to Copernicus
