In 2020, Prof. Krzysztof M. Górski received the Prize of the Foundation for Polish Science – one of the most important scientific accolades in Poland, referred to as the “Polish Nobel Prize”. The prize honours Prof. Górski’s development and implementation of a method of analysis of relic radiation, which has enabled research on the earliest phases of the evolution of the Universe.
Prof. Górski is also the creator of HEALPix – a tool used in research by some of the most important science centres in the world, including NASA and the European Space Agency.
