The Nauka. To Lubię foundation’s media platforms now feature the astronomy debate that concludes our debate series celebrating the 553rd anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus’s birth.
Professors representing the Chamber of Astronomy and Mathematical and Natural Sciences of the Copernican Academy discuss—with expertise and passion—the distribution of funds for science, the need for a “new Copernicus”, the micro- and macrocosmos, energy of the future, and the prospects of life in space.

Prof. Krzysztof Marian Górski (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory / Caltech)
An internationally renowned cosmologist and co-creator of tools for analyzing cosmological data. Recipient of the Foundation for Polish Science Award (known as the “Polish Nobel Prize”) and other prestigious honors, as well as NASA’s Exceptional Achievement Medals; Secretary General of the Nicolaus Copernicus Academy.
Prof. Marek J. Sarna (Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (CAMK) of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN))
Physicist and astronomer, long-time president of the Polish Astronomical Society. Expert for the Ministry of Development and Technology on the Science Programme Committee of the European Space Agency (ESA).
Prof. Leszek Roszkowski (AstroCeNT / CAMK of the PAN)
Theoretical physicist and expert in the field of dark matter. Director of the International Institute for Particle Astrophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a laureate of the prestigious WELCOME program.
Prof. Wacław Gudowski (KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm / NCBJ)
An expert in reactor physics and a pioneer in research on ADS systems and fourth-generation reactors. He is affiliated with the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and the Polish National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ).
