11th Congress of Polish Economists “Economics and the Economy in Times of Uncertainty” Poznań, December 4–5

November 5, 2025

Nicolaus Copernicus Academy is pleased to recommend the 11th Congress of Polish Economists, organized by the Polish Economic Society, taking place December 4–5, 2025, in Poznań. This event represents the most important gathering of Poland’s economic community. This year’s edition, under the theme “Economics and the Economy in Times of Uncertainty,” will provide a forum for reflecting on the challenges facing today’s economy, the directions of economic research, and the role of economists in shaping public policy.

The Academy’s patron, Nicolaus Copernicus, widely known as a pioneering astronomer and the author of the heliocentric model of the solar system, was also deeply engaged in economic matters of his time. He explored issues such as money, product quality, and fair trade—topics that remain highly relevant in today’s uncertain economic environment.

The Congress will feature presentations by distinguished experts, including Prof. Dani Rodrik (Harvard University) and Prof. Beata Javorcik (University of Oxford). The program includes four thematic blocks covering the future of economics, the role of the state in the economy, the impact of artificial intelligence, and the importance of economic education.
