On 17 April 2024, a meeting was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Belgrade between Dr Witold Mazurek, Prof. SGMK, Director of the Copernican Academy Office, and Dr Lech Kończak, Director of the Polish Institute in Belgrade. During the meeting, the framework of the planned cooperation between the two institutions in promoting the idea of the Copernican programme was outlined. Director Lech Kończak declared his willingness to actively involve the Institute in the Academy’s efforts to actively support the internationalisation of Polish science.

One of the highlights of the meeting was a joint viewing of the exhibition on Nicolaus Copernicus.
