On 21 June, the General Assembly held a meeting on current affairs, including the issue of nominations for the position of rector of Nicolaus Copernicus University.

In accordance with Act on the Academy of Copernicus The General Assembly identifies a candidate for the rector of the Nicolaus Copernicus Academy to be appointed by the Presidium of the Academy.

The General Assembly is the supreme authority of the Copernican Academy and is composed of all members of the Academy. The General Assembly operates through ordinary and extraordinary meetings, convened by the Secretary General.
