Call for collaboration. Letter from PAN research centre to Copernicus

Following the opening of the College of Medical Sciences in Olsztyn, the Copernicus Academy is expanding its activities in Warmia and Mazury. The willingness to cooperate in the scientific field was expressed in a letter to the authorities of the Academy and the College of Medical Sciences by the Director of the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn, Prof. Dr Mariusz K. Piskuła.

On 3 October, the College of Medical Sciences of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Olsztyn was opened at the premises of the Regional Branch of the National Bank of Poland in Olsztyn. the College of Medical Sciences of the Nicolaus Copernicus University was opened. On this occasion, representatives of the Copernicus Academy held talks with, among others, the authorities of the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn.

In a letter addressed to the Academy authorities after the ceremony, the director of the aforementioned institution stressed that the convergence of the research areas of the Institute and the newly established Medical College left no room for doubt as to whether the institutions should undertake joint scientific activities.

The Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn began its activities in 1988. Currently, it has the status of a National Scientific Leading Centre (KNOW) and a leading position among scientific units in Poland, appreciated both nationally and in Europe in the area of agricultural, forestry and veterinary sciences and in broadly defined life sciences. The Institute is a member of the international Knowledge and Innovation Community for Food – EIT Food, bringing together universities and research centres at the top of scientific rankings and major business powers.

The CFSP conducts extensive scientific cooperation with leading research centres around the world, which takes place by establishing partnership networks, initiating joint research projects, concluding bilateral agreements and organising international conferences.
