Exhibits, scientific materials, and the legacy of Nicolaus Copernicus will be actively promoted in the Balkans and Greece itself.
“I thank our partner for the courage and for the opportunity that opens up for the Copernican Academy. It is important that the ideas of Nicolaus Copernicus are promoted on the Old Continent, in the cradle of our civilization, in Greece. I hope that, with the help of the President of the Polish-Greek Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Copernican ideas and the sciences of Copernicus will be worthily represented,” said Dr. Witold Mazurek, Director of the Copernican Academy, during the ceremony.
“On behalf of the Polish-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry, I sincerely thank you for promoting Polish culture. We commit to continuing this mission on your behalf, not only in Greece but throughout the entire Balkans,” said the Chamber’s President, Jerzy Athanasiadis.
The current agreement involves providing state scientific institutions in Greece with sets in Greek related to the life and work of Nicolaus Copernicus, as well as reprints of the books “De revolutionibus orbium coelestium” and “The Manner of Minting Coin”.
